National Environmental Health Association - Annual Educational Conference

The NEHA AEC is designed to train, educate, and advance people who have an interest or career in environmental health and protection, as well as to bring people together to build a professional network of environmental health colleagues, exchange information, and discover new and practical solutions to environmental health issues.

NEHA is offering two scholarship opportunities to attend the AEC & Exhibition in San Diego, CA, and both have a Wednesday, May 23 deadline. Please see the below announcements.

Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. Please allow at least one week for review. Applicants will receive an automatic email response when their application is submitted. Approved applications will receive an informational email by Friday, June 1, 2012, and all applicants will receive final email notifications by Wednesday, June 6, 2012.

Applicants not selected to receive a scholarship have the opportunity to volunteer at the AEC. Volunteers who work a minimum of four hours receive four hours of free education. Volunteers can work more hours to receive more free education hours. This year NEHA is providing 30 regular and 5 student full-conference AEC registration scholarships! NEHA has received past FDA funding for scholarships, but current FDA requirements no longer allows for scholarships. So NEHA is offering the scholarships! There are some changes to the eligibility requirements, so please read those carefully on the online application. You must be a NEHA member. (If you are not a member, you can become one! Please visit: http://www.neha.org/member/.) Scholarships are for those who cannot otherwise attend the AEC and are not already registered. Scholarships do not include travel. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 23.
